Ms. Suzanne Goldstein
California Alliance for Next Generation Science Standards
Ms. Suzanne Goldstein is a Consultant to the Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation where she is managing development of the California Alliance for Next Generation Science Standards (CA4NGSS), a new coalition to support effective and timely implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) throughout California. Prior to joining CDE Foundation in July 2015, Goldstein was Chief of Policy and Development for the California STEM Learning Network (CSLNet), directing policy analysis and advocacy on a wide range of STEM education issues. Goldstein’s wide ranging experience in formal and nonformal education, policy and cross-sector collaboration also includes serving as Director of Expanded Learning for Aspire Public Schools, Director of the New York State Afterschool Network, Director of Strategic Planning for the Deputy Chancellor of Operations of the New York City Dept. of Education and Public Policy Director for the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, as well as numerous independent consulting engagements. Goldstein holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor’s Degree from Brown University.
